Lucifer says it to Adam, and there's a big scene where Charlie corrects him ("It's 'fuck you up,' Dad), and everyone just gives him a look like he really messed up.
But I hear people use that as short hand for "fuck you up" all the time. Is it a regional thing?
Like if I say, "The HOA fucked me hard last weekend. Fucking charged me $100 to mow my lawn. It as 8 inches tall!" I'd see that as a casual way to say someone negatively interacted with me. Or if the boss promotes the other guy instead of me, I'd find it normal to tell a friend, "Dear god, I am going to fuck him!" Just kind of a general term for substantially negatively affecting someone, whether through words or actions.
