Why don't vampires in fiction get affected by Islamic or Jewish holy symbols?

Vampires in mythology are only damaged by Christian symbols even though it said that vampires can get killed by holy symbols. A star of David and a inscription of Allah are still holy symbols even though they aren't from the Christian faith.
