Are there any languages where modern speakers and understand ancient text?
Post Body
As a counter example, most modern English speakers have a difficult time understanding Shakespere, and even though we can read the words easily their meaning is practically a foreign language. Are there any languages where that isn't an issue and modern people can easily understand text that is hundreds of years old?
