It was yet another Pornhub expedition and spending hours (as usual) researching for 'my kind of' porn got me thinking – why is the vast majority of porn violent or based on plots that are questionable in terms of morality, or even legality?
Healthy, loving sexual chemistry between partners isn’t the popular option – is it because most people just aren’t turned on by it? Or is it just that this type of content doesn’t sell as well? It makes me wonder what’s really driving this trend. Is the mainstream desensitized to emotional intimacy in favor of extreme, exaggerated scenarios?
Or is it just a reflection of what we’ve come to expect, which feeds into a cycle of increasingly more taboo material? It’s hard to find something that feels natural and balanced. Maybe I’m missing out on a niche, but why does it have to feel like a niche in the first place?
