I (f21) know this person (NB19) thru other friends and have followed them on socials for a year or so. We matched on Tinder the other day but they haven't responded to my message yet. I really want to go out tonight but my other friends aren't really in the party mood rn. When the two of us first went to college I said I wanted to party with them sometime since our schools are crazy close, but we never followed thru. It's still something I want to do, though, date or not.

Would it be weird if I messaged them on another platform asking if they want to go a party/club if they haven't responded to my tinder message yet? I don't want to seem pushy, it's not that I'm desperate to hang out with them & idgaf that they haven't responded bc I'm a spotty texter myself, it just crossed my mind as a possibility but I realized it could totally come off as me being weird since we just matched.
