I'm 19, don't have a car (as a family, we have one, and my dad uses it to get to work) and even if I did have a car, I don't have a license because driving school costs a lot of money and we can't afford it, so I'd have to pay for it myself. I had a job stocking shelves at a grocery store at night for about two weeks, but I couldn't sustain that mentally, or put that on a resume. Suffice to say, my options are limited, basically a no experience needed entry level job that isn't more than like two miles away. I'm also autistic and I can't really do things fast, so I think fast food isn't doable, as I would slow everything down.
Things like Indeed don't work for me, they don't understand that I'm looking for an entry level job and that it has to be close, and that I'm not trying to be a dentist or something.
Do I just go places and ask if they're hiring? There are quite a few places I'm able and willing to walk to daily, but I don't know if me doing this is some sort of unspoken red flag or something, I just need something so that I have a bit of money and can eventually find a real career.
