Okay so weāve been together for over 7 years and when he met my dad for the first time 6 years ago my dad told me later on that when he shook his hand, it was super wimpy and almost limp. I was shocked and kind of put off by this but ended up forgetting about it. I was raised to always have a firm handshake, especially if youāre a man. A weak handshake in a man can really put other people off. A strong handshake shows confidence. We are going to a wedding this weekend and heāll be meeting a lot of my family for the first time and I really want to bring up the handshake thing but Iām not sure how to go about it without hurting his feelings or making it seem like Iām telling him to do something. Any advice?
Note: Before anyone makes any comments about how it doesnāt matter or itās just ātoxic masculinity cultureā, just donāt. Everyone has different opinions and you wonāt change mine. And yes Iāve heard people say these things before lol.
