Is it normal to cry as a man even if society doesn’t completely accept it at the moment? Is it normal to cry easily if I get very frustrated or angry? Does this mean I’m weak or considered weak? What are your honest thoughts?
Post Body

Guy here. There was an incident that happened at work recently where a coworker randomly yelled at me for honestly what appears to be no real reason. On the way home I cried a lot because I was so confused, frustrated, and embarrassed. That’s just one instance really.

But overall I do cry easily, even if it’s tears of joy or gratitude. Is this normal? I know society might look down upon it and some have judged me harshly for this. But what do you think? Personally I think it’s healthy to not be afraid to show emotion or to let it out. I think bundling it and keeping it in is a disservice to ourselves, a good cry does help clear our mind and release what we have inside whenever we need to. That might be my answer honestly, but really I’m looking for your take on it. What do you think? Is it a sign of weakness? Should all men be tough and keep their emotions inside rather than expressing them?
