The subject came up randomly today, and most of my friends found it strange that I spread jam directly on dry toast, instead of buttering the toast first. Is this not normal? Most of them also said they butter toast before putting peanut butter on it, which I found completely bizarre.
Have I been eating toast wrong my entire life?
EDIT: I appreciate the "do whatever you like" responses, but I guess what I'm trying to ask is what's the most common way of eating toast with jam? I'm not going to change my toast preferences out of peer pressure, I'm just curious how the majority of people do it.
