Why do people say 3D printers are not CNC Machines?
Post Body

So I'm in some CNC Groups, I have a CNC Plasma cutter, a CNC 3D Printer, and building myself a CNC Wood Mill.

I'm aware that all CNC means is "Computer numerical control" and it just feeds instructions to the computer to actuate the feeds, speeds, and motion of the toolheads.

The code that my plasma program puts out is Gcode, and is pretty much identical to the code in my 3D printer (with the 3D printer doing a couple more things like filament flow)

But I'll have people on groups say "a 3d printer isn't a CNC machine", then if you push it, they'll say "it just isn't" or "because it's a 3d printer"
