This may ideed seem silly. My mom insists that women having leg hair is disgusting and is horrified I don't shave and wear shorts. Unbeknownst to her I'm trans, but that's besides the point bc I currently present femme. When you see a "woman" with unshaved legs in public in the USA, do you literally care at all more than a glance? She insists everyone is pointing and laughing but I've tried telling her 1000 times no one cares. Maybe this will settle the score. Eta: If it matters, I am pretty fair, and I have dark wiry hair so it is extremely obvious that I don't shave my legs
Update/edit: this post isn't about your sexual preferences it's about what you think of people you may see in your daily life. Coworkers, acquaintances, strangers in public mainly. I understand not preferring it in your partner, but I wouldn't date someone who was against it so 🤷. My mom's argument is that people in public will be making fun of me behind my back when they see me, while I try to tell her people have far better things to talk about. Just adding that bc a few people have gone into some detail about what turns them on and like... I didn't need to know all that 😅 but thanks everyone for your insight no matter which side of the argument you fall on!
