For whatever reason, I'm utterly terrified by people who died, not from natural causes or just plain being killed by someone or something, although that's still pretty unsettling, but from a very unpredictable series of events that came about either because of carelessness or sheer dumb luck.
The biggest one that set me off was hearing about how Brandon Lee died just because of some mismanagement regarding a prop gun or just watching any Final Destination movie. Even nonlethal accidents like the incident when filming Now You See Me, where an actress drowned on set because everyone thought she was acting, I still have nightmares about that.
And then there's car accidents, boat accidents, vehicles and batteries randomly exploding, weapon malfunctions, elevator decapitations in a hospital (not making that up). Ones in public scare me especially.
I don't know why, but this kind of stuff scares me way more than any other kind of death. Do you know the word for it?
