People from England, really random, but do you say bratwurst as brat or as the full word bratwurst?
Post Body

I was remembering when I visited London, we stopped at a sausage stand and everyone decided to get brats. When we were talking amongst ourselves we said brat, but when they walked up to the stand and ordered individually each person asked for a bratwurst, I'm guessing because they didn't know if the guy would understand if we asked for a brat. I thought it was so silly they did that at the time.

Anyway, in everyday language, do you guys normally call it a brat or bratwurst?
