Is the "golden era" of the Internet gone now?
Post Body
I feel like the Inernet is just so terrible now. Instagram and Facebook used to be friend feeds, now it's mainly ads on top.
AI has ruined a lot of things. Instagram used to mainly real photos, now its a lot of AI photos. The "art" and design community now has a lot more AI photos. There's now a lot of AI "bands" on Spotify where people create music using AI to generate music in different styles.
Video platforms used to be "cool" and didn't have that many ads, now it isn't that much different from cable tv (LOOKING AT YOUTUBE and netflix).
A lot of videos online now I feel are just staged (as everyone is trying to go viral) or marketing videos.
