I recently got terminated from my job. I was a lead position which is the lowest form of management and is hourly. I went to another division to help train them on the new system we are switching to.
While there a employee from my division hurt a employee from another (explicit violence). At the time that I became involved was when a lady came out of the hotel asking for help, that her friend was bleeding. I went to their room and helped her up and told them to call the ambulance.
The next day the employee from my division came to me and told me about his involvement and his side of the story. He also informed me that there was a active police investigation going on for the situation, and I will be contacted due to my involvement.
Weeks go by of talking to corporate about involvement. After getting back to our home division they terminate him. Then two days later I am called to be informed by the VP of our division. That because I did not report that a employee was injured to a Manager nor did I report the details that I was told to a manager immediately. This means I did not follow company policy.
Should I pursue legal actions for wrongful termination?
