Is it okay to eat a can of soup that is four months out of date?
Post Body
I found an old tin of Heinz mushroom soup at the back of my cupboard. Checking the date it expired May 2024.
It's not a big deal, I could just bin it, but I'm skint and it would be a warm meal. So far people I've asked seem to be very divided between: Yes, you can eat tinned food when it's even years out of date, and DO NOT EAT IT, YOU WILL DIE, ARE YOU CRAZY?
The can looks fine and is not damaged or dented or rusty in any way.
