Why are people so into vinyl records? Does it actually sound better?
Post Body

I was born in 1997 at the end of the cassette era and the dawn of the CD era. When iTunes came along, it was great because I had more music and I could get rid of my cds.

It's hard for me to understand why anyone would choose to go back to vinyls when they take up so much space. Do they really sound better? Are people just pretentious?

Edit - I have been informed that the dawn of CDs happened well before they actually entered my life.
