Can I prevent a blister from forming after I've already did the thing that caused the friction that irritated the area?
Post Body

All the google answers (and my parents) tell me that I need to put a bandaid on before doing the thing (ex: yard work, pulling weeds, shoveling) in order to prevent blisters. But alas, I am forgetful. So I just spent an hour working in the yard - yes I wear gloves - but forgot to pre bandaid my thumb. I've already gotten 2 big blisters on that thumb from yard work, so I really should know better, but oops. So now I feel the pad of my thumb starting to get irritated again, and I know a blister is gunna form very soon. So I cleaned it with warm soapy water and then put a bandaid on it. But am I stupid to think this will prevent the blister from forming? Am I too late?
