If blood only goes red when oxidized, why is blood drawn for blood banks red?
Post Body

Forgive me if im somehow mistaken, but I've always been under the impression that our veins are blue because that is oxygen depleted blood returning to our hearts. however that's the same vein they draw the blood from it seems. So why does the line and bag become red upon depletion?
