There are many different religions in the world, many of which I am not familiar with. But let's focus on christianity, since it is a big one. (These thoughts probably apply to many other religions as well.)
We have countless scientific books written by educated scientists who explain the world in ways that make sense. These are different books written by thousands of people who independently come to the same conclusions without being influenced by, or even aware of, the works of other scientists who agree. These texts are logical and backed up by actual provable facts.
Yet, there are people who choose to believe in what the bible says. They follow a book written thousands of years ago by authors whose identities are often unknown, which contains stories that break the laws of physics and tell vague stories open to interpretation.
Why, just WHY, would anyone today think that these religious texts are valid sources of information?
