Is a quick Google search considered "Research ".

Like if my dumb ass friend ( not putting him down we are both dumb idiots ) tries to sound smart and said he had been researching random thing . And I laugh and just say. Reading the too search results on Google is not really research....
Now I am wondering if I was actually wrong since to be fair I think even if is easy af it is still researching even it takes zero skill or brain power.
