Does anyone live off of a veryittle amount of money?
Post Body

I saw a video where a lady had $600 in expenses per month because she didn't have any debts (no mortgage or rent, no car payment) and lived very frugally. She seemed very happy and didn't seem to be sacrificing anything that would make me unhappy if I didn't have it.

I saw another where a guy lived in a valley and spent $140 a month and basically lived like the Amish but he isn't Amish. He looked extremely happy although I would spend some more money to have electricity and Internet.

I want to save up to buy a little bit of land, build a small house on it, and then spend as little as possible. I don't care about much more than free time. I think I could have low enough expenses that I would only need to work like 3 months a year. I'm hoping this is realistic though.
