My partner and i got into a conversation about code switching. and managed to switch into the dialect/accent we used at home as kids artificially. but we both independantly found it easier to keep doing so because we realized the other was doing the same thing. is this a real phenomena?
Post Body
we dont have the same home codes. his is venezuelan accented english and mine is deep southern accented english. we're dutch lol. but we both realized bc the other was code switching it was easier to stay in it. why? is this a real phenomena? if not, what may have been actually happening?
