Is it mostly pointless to learn a language if you will probably never use it?
Post Body

Kind of the problem with being a native English speaker. I don't have plans to visit a foreign country soon if ever. The only other language I hear sort of often is Spanish but the majority speak enough English to have a conversation with at the bare minimum. Most movies/shows I'd watch or books I would read have already been translated. There is a lot of untranslated stuff out there but there is already more than enough in English. There is not a religion I am part of that uses another language often like hebrew either. Besides for fun is it mostly pointless? Or am I (hopefully) wrong about this?

Then there is also the question of which one?
