In a group of people, what makes some people more resilient? I've heard having a rough childhood helps, but having a rougher childhood seems to have mixed results doesn't make someone more resilient? Some people with bad childhoods end up hurting people and stealing, while some end up with a good career with a healthy family.
Why is it that EVEN though some people may have had it worse (health issues, family's going through divorce for a few years, money issues at home etc), some people are able to just pick themselves back up and eventually get a good job, improve their life.
Meanwhile an other person, maybe they got average grades, had a basic wage job and then got fired (for no reason of their own). They then had a major car accident and got shortly fired after that. For some reason, they had trouble finding a job after that for a year. They then somehow lose all confidence in life? how?
