I'm broke, and I don't want to buy another $50 water filter for my Frigidaire. Tap water quality is very good here, and I drink straight from the sink all the time.
Do they make an "anti-filter" of sorts that I could just put where the filter is to just connect everything so that could just stay there permanently and I'd never need filters? Like, a pipe that just fits in that slot but doesn't actually filter?
Or could I just leave the dirty filter? I'm worried it could fill with sediment and destroy a motor or whatever mechanism is used to pull water to the water dispenser and ice maker, but I don't know much about this.
