Being single sucks and I need help
Post Body

I'm a 40M who just got out of a 24-year relationship and recently moved to a new city. It's been a few months, but I'm finding it really tough to meet new people or find a new partner. I've even tried some NSFW avenues and ended up running into scammers, so now I'm turning to Reddit for advice.

I can be pretty socially awkward, especially when it comes to approaching women. I can't always tell if someone is just being nice or if they're flirting. I consider myself an introverted extrovert—I warm up quickly to the right people. I work in hospitality and love to travel, have a wide range of interests: hiking, the outdoors, anime, all things Asian, board games like Catan, and cars.

I've posted in some local subreddits about meeting new people but only got one response. I'm feeling lost and really just want to make new friends and possibly find a partner to love.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
