I always see people saying how British people love queueing, and British people telling tourists not to push in when they come here and it baffles me. I haven't been abroad much because of money, but are people in other countries just... walking up and going in front of whoever was there first? Is it just an anarchic free-for-all? Does whoever is serving (or whatever it may be) have to pay attention to who got there when and discourage anyone who tries to pretend they were there first?
I just can't fathom not queueing. How is it done where you're from?
