what is the best way to sedate an elderly cat?
Post Body

my cat is 13 and i've noticed it's getting harder for her to bend to groom herself and she's feeling really grimy. problem is she hasn't had a bath since she got fleas the for the last time when she was 5. she's not necessarily a mean cat but i know she will not sit well at all and she needs a deep clean. since she's elderly i'm a little worried about what meds i can give her, is it still safe to give her half a benadryl just to calm her? or should i just shell out the money for a good groomer?
