Do "All-in-one" nutrient shakes actually work?
Post Body

I came across this in the supermarket and my curiosity was struck about the blistering array of nutrients and ingredients. It has 20g of protein per scoop so I was wondering would this be a good way to get nutrition in on top of protein in my shake.

I am skeptical about a few things:

  • I eat pretty healthy already (large variety of veg and fruit, take a few supplements), so would I even need it?
  • I don't know much about the science but I vaguely understand that absorption is a huge factor in whether these products work. Would my body actually get what's on offer?
  • Isn't getting nutrients like this supposed to be far superior in a proper diet? My hope with this is that it would "fill in the gaps" if there are any, but it may be useless.

I am pretty clueless as to whether something like this is a waste of money so I would appreciate some insights.
