Person A: Is there a name, for the thing in english, when you repeat the last word someone said for clarity? Person B: Clarity?
Post Body

They do this a lot in TV scripts, like Rick and Morty. One person is talking about a subject and then the second person repeats part of the phrase.

"Oh ho, looks like you guys got the nod!"

"The nod?"

"Squids just killed a decoy family."

"Decoy family?"

I don't know if there would be any grammatical term for it, but maybe something in writing/scriptwriting etc? Just curious. Thanks!
