Why do humans enjoy loud/distorted music?
Post Body

I personally love many forms of alt rock/ metal, but I always wondered why humans enjoy listening to it. Even when it comes to some intense classical music. Usually our brains donโ€™t like loud or obnoxious sounds, such as babies crying or dogs barking. Just wondered if anyone knew any science behind this or have an interesting ideas? Iโ€™m asking in good faith because Iโ€™m curious.
