Are my chats broken?

I’ve been getting a lot of notifications over the past week or two, that my chat invites have been accepted to only get notifications response from the other side. Is it me, Is it Reddit, or is it ppl accepting the invites and just not responding? If it’s the last one, then that’s just rude.
