Is it weird to unfriend a gaming buddy after finding out his age?

I just found out one of my friends on a game is 17. I'm much older. I'm very social in this game and add almost anyone. I also play flirt all the time with enemies and allies. I only found out his age recently via discord and I haven't played with him since. I was wondering if it would be over dramatic to unadd him? It just makes me feel weird to be playing with a kid, I guess I'm the stupid one for not even considering the possibility. What would you guys do?
