Are Messi and Ronaldo as famous as Michael Jackson?

Whenever someone is asked about an American celebrity like for example, Michael Jordan is brought in these like famous debates with Messi and Ronaldo football fans always claim that “no one knows Jordan outside of America.” which IS NOT true. You can say Messi and Ronaldo are more famous than Jordan which they probably are but to say Jordan isn’t known outside of America is insane.

On the other hand, Michael Jackson seems to be the ONLY American celebrity or a celebrity based from America that I see some football fans concede or at least have no problem saying Michael Jackson is as or even more famous than Ronaldo and Messi.
