Why do people fight tooth and nail over random internet opinions.
Post Body

5 years ago if I asked a question or had a discussion with someone on the internet you could get them to admit they were wrong but now anytime I try to have a discussion about anything people sneer at me acting like I must not know anything about the subject. People parrot the same 3 replies. "are you an expert?" It feels like a battle of wills any time I just have a talk on Discord, I can't have an argument without someone trying to be on the "right" side. I end most arguments now by just walking away from the situation because people are so unwilling to change or even discuss other opinions. The people who answer questions here are amazing!
