If a big entertainment company goes all their way to some less-than-fortunate people just to hand them a lawsuit for infringement because they want to mimic what the former makes for their own use, will the latter be in any power to defend themselves?

Yes, this came from that shitposts where the twist is not that the company comes to this unfortunate soul out of generosity, but with rather an insane and petty display of greed, especially if the end game is demonization.
And will this thing really happen? I imagine them with near-infinite sums of money and power that arguing against them doing whatever insanity they would do is an impossibility. That's why I am afraid of these kinds of people.
