would a saline sinus rinse after swimming in a lake prevent brain eating amoebas?
Post Body

I am admittedly afraid of brain eating amoeba. I have OCD and parasites have always been a massive obsessive thought. I've been swimming in freshwater lakes more since moving to a rural area. I don't think any cases have been reported in my state at all. but if a short saline sinus rinse can ease my anxiety, I'd be happy to do it after getting out.

I also understand it's a very underresearched topic due to the nature of the parasite.

I don't think this counts as medical advice, really. it wouldn't require me to go to the doctor if I didn't post it here.
