Why does taking medication on an empty stomach cause nausea?
Post Body

Years ago after I removed a wisdom tooth, I remember taking a vicodin after not having eaten the whole day. What followed was me going pale, sweating, and an hour of feeling nausea. Checked instructions which stated not to take it on an empty stomach. On the following days when I actually ate, the vicodin were no problem.

Currently on a 7 day fast (4th day) and decided I would take a vitamin pill for some nutrients. I noticed every time I take the vitamin, I will get nauseous about 10 minutes in although it isn't strong and only lasts a few minutes,

What's up with that?
