Do you think technologies are an advance or are they going to screw up humanity?

I want to clarify that if they are an advance but to what extent? I think we are getting too comfortable because of them; plus kids are now born with a screen in front of their face (there are studies that claim this will help delay child development), young people go out together to be looking at instagram and shit; moms are looking at TikTok instead of being attentive to their kids. Students use gpt chat to do their work. Effortlessly. Do you think in a few years all this will take its toll on us?
