Gray crumbly ball thing in oatmeal?

Hello. There was a gray crumbly ball thing in my pack of oatmeal that I just bought. I don’t know what it was. It was dark gray, looked kinda like a ball of wool, and when I picked it up it immediately fell apart. Should I throw my oatmeal out? I inspected the whole thing for any webs or any other signs of moths / weevils but I found literally nothing.
