Before I ask this I’m gonna go ahead and say that I am writing a book I have been cooking up for 10 years, and during writing it I stumbled upon a question that I can’t find simply by googling, but in my book it is kind of apocalyptic, in a sense. So my question is if there was a nationwide blackout, would the government be able to trigger amber alerts or other alarms about a current scenario to be careful of? I know it might sound like a stupid question with the blackout, but you also have to think that the government also provides itself backup batteries and generators. So would they be able to send amber alerts? Or would that strictly be impossible with the lack of power providing the cell phone towers? Or would that not be a factor? Thanks for reading and helping!!
