I’m curious about this logical idea. I know there’s an answer but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
Being inclusive seems to imply tolerating all opinions - but does this also mean being tolerant of hateful rhetoric? What’s the moral/ethical/logical argument for disallowing hate while still maintaining an inclusive attitude?
As an example:
I work at a bar that’s known for being the most inclusive space in a very socially-conservative area. How can I claim to be inclusive, when kicking out patrons who act hatefully? It’s a caveat I can’t overcome in my head. What’s the answer here?
