I always wonder why are most people edgy on social media platforms (ex: Tiktok, Youtube shorts, Instagram, etc). The majority of these edgy users I see are male teenagers and most of them have a problem with getting upset when someone calls them out for their edgy behavior, act up by saying dumb things that would be seen as weird or inappropriate, and usually harass other individuals for things they don’t like (such as what media they consume and their identity like gender, sexuality, and appearance). And also what is up with them and the use derogatory/offensive language by these edgelords.

(NOTE: I was also a former edgelord but I just wanted to know what makes them edgy and why they are the way they are?)
