Can someone’s self esteem and self confidence be permanently damaged?
Post Body

For example: A person who was heavily mentally and emotionally abused during their teen/puberty years. The result has caused to have little to no self esteem and confidence. They were never able go to therapy for various reasons but have decided to finally do so for the first time in 15 years. Since they never did, could that person’s self esteem and confidence be permanently damaged no matter how much therapy helps?
