So I have been trying to get some sleep for the past 2 hours, however, no matter how much I close my eyes and try not to move I can’t fall asleep. Could somebody please give me advice as to what I can do?
This is hyper specific for me, but I always (in my head) explain the rules of baseball to a hypothetical person who is completely unfamiliar with the game. I’m usually out before I can even get to the concept of force plays. More generally, trying to simply explain something you know fairly well seems to take up just the right amount of brain capacity (enough so that you aren’t thinking about the fact you can’t sleep/stop those racing thoughts, but not so much that adrenaline starts kicking in) to promote falling asleep.
