I’ll try to make this quick but I was fired from a warehouse company that my dad works at. My dad works in a different building than I work at so it wasn’t at his. Everything began when I was working with two other coworkers , one male and one female. We were assigned to return a welding trailer back to my dad warehouse. As we arrive , we also were given a task fix a cage and its barricades. As we arrive my dad sees me and says hi to us. He notices that there’s a chain vice and needs to use it due that the one he has no longer works. I tell my dad to not take it out due that I can then get in trouble. The other two coworkers didn’t bother to even tell my not take and not hold him accountable. As I go inside to see how the cage has to be fixed , the other two coworkers wandered off and spoke to another worker only to then leave without letting me know. So I head back to the warehouse and a supervisor asks me “ hey did your dad swap out that chain vice ? I then responded saying “No I even reminded that he shouldn’t take it out. Hi figure it turned that my dad did. So I had to walk back to his warehouse and go get it. The next day that same supervisor then calls me writes me up because I lied and because I defended my dad even though I didn’t. He then said that if something else happened I would be fired. I get home and tell my dad about it only for him to get upset. He then types up a letter explaining the whole a situation m. As he arrives, his boss notices the sheet and without even reading the whole document, he then tells my dad that he would take care of it. My dads boss and another higher up spoke to that supervisor as to why I was written up and told that supervisors how any employee who works at the company can use any tool and also how the warehouse nexts to us has people just show up to our warehouse and grab anything they need and that supervisor who wrote me up never says anything to them. After that , I was yet again assigned with those same coworkers to fix a cage. One of them is operating a reach and then tells me to jump on the forks of the machine so he can lift me. I say no and instead that female coworker jumps on the forks. I get out the way only for her to lift her up and out of nowhere that same supervisor who wrote me up then sees and yells at them. I get out only to find that he tells them both how he’s supposed to fire them but doesn’t . The guy that was operating the machine was his nephew. Months pass until I wanted to request a day off. That Same supervisor then says how you know you’re going to leave short handed right and also you don’t seem to have any sick time , which I did have 40 complete hours. He then leaves me and I walk away until he crumbles up my sick time sheet and throws it away. He also didn’t say anything about allowing me to miss the day or if it was approved so I showed up to work the next day and he got mad because I didn’t tell him I would come in. Things get far worse until another supervisor walks up to a trailer I’m working with someone on and then says that someone from the warehouse would have to be fired due that they hired too many people and made a mistake. That supervisor was also stating right at me the whole time and was laughing and joking. The next day as the day is about to be over the supervisor who wrote me up then calls me in and says I’m going to dispatch you. The reason I’m letting you go is due that you’re a not quick learner like everyone else. I made sure to not write anything bad about you so you qualified for unemployment. I was walking out then crying and feeling regret . I’ve also been applying to other jobs. Is the really all my fault ?
