How do I take a good picture for dating apps?

I hate taking pictures of myself, it makes me feel vain and conceited. But I also know it's kind of important for dating apps since most people don't read the Bio.
Every picture I've taken it's pretty clear how uncomfortable I am, and how inexperienced I am taking selfies. Doesn't help that I'm pretty pale and chubby too.
I feel like I have a strong Bio in my profile but when it comes to my pictures...I wouldn't swipe right on me.
