I’m seeing an alarmingly large number of racist posts and comments online recently. Am I missing something? Why is this happening?

Instagram reels, TikTok, Reddit, particularly in subreddits dedicated to a country or a city. I’ve seen an uptick in racism in all these sites, particularly towards Indians but to others as well. Is there a reason it’s become more acceptable to become racist online now or is it just my algorithm being weird?
