Please explain to me why raising pre-flop is a good idea. Wouldn't that disagree with the fact that making a pair at all on the flop is only a 29% chance? Sometimes it's just throwing money away when you've got decent cards but you didn't end up matching anything on the flop. Plus, if I'm dealt AA or KK, I don't want to scare anybody out of the hand. I want them to stay in the hand for more equity.
